VIRASAT; a must watch programme

Virasat is the grand cultural program sponsered by Alvas education foundation which will be held in the last week of December or first week of January. Mohan Alva, the founder of Alvas education society, gives this treat to all who loves indian culture and tradition. All kinds of national as well as international level programmes will be held at Mijar, a place nearer to Moodbidri. The artists who take 500 per head in an auditorium, will give their programme for about 2-3 hours in this place. All their expenses will be given by Alva's trust itself. There will be the seating arrangement for about 20000 peoples. Same number of peoples will be there outside the ground. It cannot be told as ground. It is a place at the top of a hill. The hight cannot be known since the way is full of colourful lights..... The environment where the events occur is really mind blowing. I cannot explain it,coz it should be grasped through your experience in that location only. Alvas school buses will be there to drop us at Karkala and Mangalore soon after the programme ends. No police is required at that place since alvas student and staffs are enough to conduct the program systematically. We must learn the value of time from Mohan Alva and his programmes. Cultural programmes sharply will start at 6pm and end at 10-30pm. If we want to watch Shobhavana, a place where Alva's pharmacy is going to cultivate the medicine plants, we should be there at 5pm.
Mohan Alva conducts 3 grand programmes per year. Alvas Nudisiri related to Karnataka literature and culture, Alvas Ekalavya related to sports, And Alvas Virasat related to the Indian culture.

The main attraction of these functions are the students of alvas college wearing colourful dresses and alva's colourful stage setting  & lamps; GOODUDEEPAs. I dont know from where he is getting such large money to spend for these functions, but the innerheart of spending money for these types of cultural activities is really appreciable..... If you haven't seen Alvas Virasat yet, surely you have missed the glorious opportunity given by Alvas education trust. And I am enough lucky to watch the programme continuously for 4 years and to make my pre university at that college. This time the program was conducted from 7th Jan till today. I went to Viarasat yesterday and inspired to post about that in my blog.
Please try to visit such programmes...........
