This name has it's own value in this Perla community.If we are not saluting him or just giving him a sign of respect,then there isn't any meaning to join this community and saying I'm from SNHS Perla.He is the man whose work followed his words.July 15 is his birth day and july 10 is the saddest day when he said Good Bye to this world.So,it's our duty to go through his holy life.Therefore, I am Introducing a topic for the great works of 'Parthaje Ajja' along with a brief history.I think it will help the visitors to know the background of SNHS Perla.If any member can remember him and give respect,my this work will have some meaning.

Early life
========
Parthaje Venkatramana Bhat born on 15/7/1901.At that time; perla is a poor village called Berpinadka.Basic education was done in his grand father's house at Elkana.Study continued in Neerchal for sanskrit, went to Canara college mangalore for english.He had to stop his education while studying for BA in St. Aloysius college due to his father's death and fell into a disease which couldn't be cured by local doctors.At last one of his teacher from mangalore came and taught him 'khoone chikithse';a kind of routene to cure dangerous disease.Bhat followed it and became fully normal within a year.Also continued to give 'khoone chikithse' for other poor beings without taking any fees.

Hunger to give knowledge

'You have to give education to others in order to make a solution for the discontinuity of your higher education',a super natural power suggested Venkatramana Bhat in a dream during 1920-21(as his elder son told).The incident made him to work hard for a school in perla forgetting all about his family life.He started to live in perla without staying in Parthaje house.Mahatma gandhi's 'GRAM CHALO' abhiyana also influenced Venkatramana Bhat's aim.

LP School
===========
He started a small teaching school of two rooms on 1925.He got the Padre elimentery school ownership by Ballambettu Janardhana Pai.Thus Elimentary school started in perla on 7/12/1925.Venkatramana Bhat became Head master as well as Manager.Shiranthadka Subraya Bhat and Thadegallu Achyutha Bhat also joined their hands with manager to this holy work.They also ready to teach the students without the expectation of salary.This school got recognition for 4th class by DK District collector on 1928.Thus school became 'Perla aided higher elimentary school' with 4 teachers including Venkatesh Pai.Their salary is used for the furnitures and building.M subraya bhat became the PET teacher.

UP School
=========
Students number increased year by year.The building is not sufficient to teach those students.On this in mind, Enmakaje Patel Sankappa Rai built new 'T' shaped building with his own money.Students number went 161 at that time.8th class also got recognition by government.Teachers and students joined hands to make garden,play ground etc.The school became Shri sathya Narayana Higher Elimentary School.School also started a weaver society on 1935 with a building costed 700Rs.This weaver's building now became LP school and E shaped high school was re-constructed by VV Sangha.Venkatramana Bhat also became Panchayat's president on 1935

High School

The public wanted to start a high school in perla.They told their opinion to Venkatramana Bhat.Shri Vidyaranya Vidyavardhaka Sangha was started to fulfil this project.The members of this Sangha collected money from society to start high school in perla.The permission to start high school was given on June 1945 by the great work of P.N. Bhat;Manager's younger brother.SN high school was inaugurated by D.K. Collector Ramdas on 01/06/1945.SN high school started on 4/6/1945.M Raman Nambiar was the first Head master of SN High school.Parthaje Venkatramana Bhat decided to make a small Mandira in the school premises on 1949.So he brought Sathya narayana Bimba from kashi and the 'T' shaped building donated by Sankappa Rai became Sathya Narayana Mandira on 1952.This was inaugurated by Shri Manjayya Heggede(Dr.Virendra Heggede's Grand Father).The first SSLC batch wrote exam on march,1949.19 students were qualified out of 40 students.

Today
=======
The school building rises up day by day.New library,laboratory,Playground,stationery,Computer department,bus can be seen .Buildings,Computers,books and other study materials are donated by old students who are now in the top of success.More than thousand students are getting appriciable knowledge here.The school has NCC, Scout,Sahithya sangha,nature club,science club etc only for the all-round development of students.SNHS perla students can able to get prizes in Youth Festival,Science fair,Maths fair,sports and many other compititions.School has introduced many ideal teacher sand students to this world.Perla as well as School has its own respect in Kasaragod District.The students of SN high School are with high jobs in different parts of the world.The credit goes to none other than our Parthaje Venkatramana bhat;'Gandhi of our Perla'.Bhat's whole life is donated for the progress of Perla and SN school.The spiritual personality left this world on 12th July,1965.But he is still with our heart in the form of our dearmost school;SNHS Perla.
